  • A Pair of Continental White Metal Candlesticks, with fluted tapering knopped stems, bearing the house flag of the Austrian Lloyd Steam Navigation Company and below, the motto "VORWÆRTS'".*The "Austrian Lloyd" was in charge of the mail transport between England and India via Trieste and Alexandria. In 1849 the company inaugurated its flagship "Vorwärts" (Steaming Ahead) which became the motto of the company.
