He followed in the tradition of his grandfather, Wycliffe Egginton (1875-1951) and his uncle, Frank Egginton (1908-1990). Robert paints in oils and watercolours and always works out of doors to maximise the atmosphere of the subject. He lives in the Highlands of Scotland and visits Ireland in the spring and autumn. He has had one-man exhibitions in Dublin, Belfast, Scotland, Europe and the USA.
