1 Whilst the Proprietors of Ross on Wye Salerooms make every effort to ensure the accuracy of their catalogue & description of any lot, it is the Bidders responsibility to ensure they are content with the quality, content, condition & authenticity of any lots prior to bidding. Any statements made regarding any items, either in the catalogue or orally, must be deemed as being opinion only & do not imply any warranties or representations of fact by the Proprietors of Ross on Wye Salerooms.
2 The Auctioneer has absolute discretion to divide any lot, combine any two or more lots or to withdraw any lot or lots from sale, to refuse bids, regulate bidding, to cancel the sale without giving any notice or reason.
3 The Auctioneer has the right to bid on behalf of the Vendors for all goods which are offered subject to reserve or at the Auctioneers discretion.
4 Unless previously instructed by the Vendors, the Auctioneer may sell items without reserve if they see fit.
5 The highest bidder shall be the buyer, except in the case of a dispute. If a dispute arises, it shall be settled at the Auctioneers discretion or offered for resale.
6 The Auctioneer shall regulate bidding at his own discretion.
7 By placing a bid, each buyer acknowledges that he has satisfied himself fully by inspection of the goods offered prior to bidding.
8 Each lot shall remain the Vendors risk until the fall of the hammer, where risk is transferred to the Buyer; items to remain within the saleroom until the end of sale & until paid for in full.
9 Legal title will not pass until lots are paid for in full. Payment can be made by Cash, Bankers Draft, Debit Card (without surcharge), most Credit Cards (with a 4% surcharge) or cheque with valid bankers card (at the Proprietors discretion). Items paid for by cheque will NOT be released from the saleroom until payment has cleared in full.
10 Lots shall be paid for in full & removed from the saleroom at the Buyers risk & expense IMMEDIATELY following the conclusion of the sale. The Proprietors shall not be held responsible for the security of any lots not removed & the Buyer shall incur charges for storage until removed.
11 Buyers premium at the rate of 15% will be added to the hammer price of all lots purchased.
12 Commission or absentee bids may only be placed prior to the start of the sale.
13 Telephone bids will ONLY be considered for items with a guide price of £250 or more.
