- A white bisque porcelain portrait bust of a European nobleman thought to be Auguste be Beauharnais depicted wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece on a gilded and glazed integral octagonal base, circa 1835, 149mm * Auguste de Beauharnais, 2nd Duke of Leuchtenberg was born in 1810. He married Queen Maria II of Portugal by proxy in Munich on 1st December 1834 and in person in Lisbon on 26th January 1835 and at about this time was awarded the Order of the Golden Fleece. He fell ill shortly afterwards and died on 28th March 1835

- Shah of Persia: a continental porcelain plate decorated with a foliate design in blue, red and gilt, the centre with colour printed portrait of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar within a gilt oval cartouche, circa 1880, 206mm diameter* Naser al-Din Shah was born in 1831 and reigned from 1848 until 1896 when he was assassinated. He was the first Persian Shah to visit Britain doing so in 1873 (when he was made a Companion of the Order of the Garter) and again in 1878 and 1889.

- 1813 William Prince of Orange: 'The Prince of Orange Landing in Holland, amidst the acclamations of the People', published by W.B. Walker, original frame * Fleeing the Netherlands with his father in January 1795 William returned by invitation on the 30th November 1813. He became known as William I, Prince of Orange. His son, later William II, was briefly engaged to Princess Charlotte in 1814 until she fell for the handsome Prince Leopold of Saxe-Cobourg whom she met in June 1814 when he visited London.

- 1820 Queen Caroline: 'An Exact Representation of the Trial of her Majesty Caroline Queen of England in the House of Lords', published by W. B. Walker, original frame * Commencing on 17th August 1820 the Queen attended and much of the lurid evidence was produced from a green bag (reference to which is made in the legend of this picture). On 24th October the bill was carried by a majority of only 28. Both King and Government insisted the matter go to committee but by 9th November it was clear that the bill was doomed. The following day Lord Eldon tried for a third reading, however with the majority now reduced to just nine the bill was withdrawn.

- Duke of Wellington: a particularly fine quality Sevres white bisque porcelain profile, depicted in uniform looking to dexter, indistinctly signed on the underside of the shoulder 'Brachard Fe', contained in the original carved wood and gilded frame the reverse affixed with a Colnaghi & Co label, circa 1817, 196x170mm overall* Three members of the Brachard family worked as modellers at the Sevres factory. About 1817 it was both Jean Charles Nicholas and his younger brother Alexandre, of whom a portrait medallion exists in the British Museum.
