- A pair of Republic period fine porcelain bowls, with a coral ground interior embellished with enamelled dragons, stylised disks and bird to the centre, the exterior on a yellow Imperial ground, again with coloured serpents, dragons and motifs. Seal mark to base, 14.5cm diameter, in a presentation case with script. Provenance: A wedding present gifted from Chiang Kai-Shek to Jonkheer D. van Brandeler (Dutch Military Attaché) and Jacqueline Merrier (Daughter of French Ambassador in China).
