  • HOLLIES SMITH, R.G. The Uniform of the 1st King's Dragoon Guards 1685 - 1959. A Brief History...Illustrated in watercolour by Pierre Turner n.d. Folio, cont. half blue morocco gilt, with bookplate of the author. Calligraphic title with illustrated watercolour border, 7pp text and 2pp. list of plates in typescript. 63 original watercolour drawings of dress uniforms from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, with divisional and individual ms. titles. The author's archive relating to military costume is held at the National Army Museum. Pierre Turner (1943 - 2011), distinguished military illustrator.
