  • AUGUSTE RODIN (1840-1917), "POLYPHEME", BRONZE WITH DARK BROWN PATINA, signed "A. Rodin" and inscribed with foundry mark "Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris" to reverse, with raised signature "A. Rodin" to the underside ("R.B.D paper label taped to underside). Height 24.5cm Exhibited: Moot Hall, Aldeburgh, 19th-28th June 1959.Provenance: Acquired from Roland, Browse & Delbanco, Cork Street, London, October 1959 and descended in the same family to the present day (original receipt sold with bronze).
