Celebrating 25 years in business in 2015, UKauctioneers.com is the UK's first and original auction portal website, featuring fine art, collectables and antiques that are coming up for auction at salerooms all over the UK.
Attracting more than 50,000 visits each month, and with a 80,000+ strong membership base, UKauctioneers.com gives collectors and dealers the world over access to a vast database of items, allowing them to browse and bid from any place at any time. Bidders can easily search for the lots they are interested in, are regularly notified by email about newly added lots, and are kept updated via a number of social media streams to ensure maximum exposure for the auction houses whose sales are featured on the site. Now incorporating Live Bidding, we are excited to be able to offer a comprehensive package to meet the needs of all auction houses.
Based in historic Chester in a busy office, Team UKA are on hand to help with all enquiries and welcome your questions and feedback.
We firmly believe that Antiques are Green, in an effort to reduce humanity's carbon footprint we promote re-use, re-cycling and re-purposing. Investing in antique pieces can significantly reduce the impact on your pocket as well as the environment.
The UKauctioneers Story
Eileen McCarthy started out producing catalogues for a number of auction houses across the UK under the company name Four Corners Publishing. With the advent of the internet, Eileen launched a supplementary website to give added value to her existing clients; using the files she had already typeset ready for printing it made perfect sense to publish these online to a much wider audience. News of the website spread fast among the auction community, and after receiving numerous phone-calls from potential clients requesting to be featured on this pioneering auction-portal, UKauctioneers.com was born.
Already possessing experience of the auction world from her time working at Lots Road Auctions in Chelsea in her 20's, Eileen identified the needs of both auctioneers and antique collectors and was able to harness this knowledge to grow the fledgling UKauctioneers brand into the business it is today. A few of the original print clients still remain, and the team at UKauctioneers.com still produce high quality printed materials in the form of auction catalogues, bidding forms, leaflets and other traditional paper materials used widely in auction houses today.
UKauctioneers are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services to all users. We continue to strive to be the best auction portal on the market, offering a great value solution for auction houses and collectors alike, with the added bonus of a personal touch.
We pledge to unite all UK based auctions (and eventually further afield!) of antiques, fine art, and collectables in one easy to use website. We aim to give auction houses a web-presence, bringing the traditional world of auctions and present day technology together. We strive to close the gap between auctioneer and collector, saving our clients and customers time, energy and money. We aim to provide a one-stop-shop allowing customers to bid across multiple sales from one easy to use platform. We aim to put auctioneers' items in-front of as many people as possible, ensuring the highest possible hammer-price for your vendors. We want to give collectors and dealers the best possible choice and accessibility to a vast selection of items from auction houses nationwide, and eventually worldwide.
