Provenance: John Hill, Esq of Felhampton Court, Shropshire
thence by descent
In the course of the development of the Felhampton Court Herd, John Hill made a number of acquisitions from the herd of Mr Green of Marlow. A herd noted at the time 'for its great scale and good proportion'. One of the better known Marlow bulls that he bought was 'Hopeful 2nd'. This bull came from a line originating from 'Renown', which had been bred by Lord Berwick.
