in his hair and a turquoise line puce cape on a mound base with gilt edged scrollwork underglaze blue crossed swords mark incised 2562 16.5cm high chips Provenance: Meissen Figures from the Barlow Collection the collection started by Sir Thomas Dalmahoy Barlow GBE (1883-1964) banker and industrialist also known as an art collector and historian; added to by his son Basil Stephen Barlow (1918-1991); thence by family descent.
