EARLY 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK, having flat hood over arched aperture flanked
by spirally turned columns, the waist with moulded cross banded and shell inlaid door, within an inlaid trailing foliage frame on a panelled base with later bracket feet. Arch painted face with figural spandrels, the arch with 'Britannia' and Scottish, English and Irish figures, the spandrels with figures emblematic of foreign empires, Roman numerals and seconds dial. The face is 19'' x 13.75''. Two train movement striking on one bell. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT). Condition: Overall in good condition commensurate with age, the face is worn, with faded numerals and some crazing, a little grubby in places, the bracket base is appearing to be an addition. Includes pendulum and two weights.
