HENRY

Artist: William Chambers

Henry was named after the founder of Eton College, King Henry VI. The lion features images of famous Old Etonians including George Orwell, Ian Fleming, Hugh Lawrie and the Duke of Wellington.

William Chalmers is an Eton College A'level student who aims to study Fine Art at Edinburgh University. He projected the images of Old Etonians onto the lion and then painted each portrait in his own unique style.

William is was recently invited to Savannah, Georgia, where he was awarded a 5-week scholarship for high flyers by SCAD Savannah College of Art and Design.

Henry was kindly sponsored by Eton College.

- Sculpture designed by leading UK sculptor Alan Dun from Bath.
- Handmade in the UK from hollow fibreglass
- Weight approximately 25kgs. (They can easily be carried by 2 people or by one strong person and fit in most large estate cars)
- Measurements: 180cm long x 60cm wide.
- Painted in acrylics
- Varnish: Easy On clear gloss anti-graffiti coating (manufacturer details: 20 year permanent life, withstands 100’s of cleans, Class 0 Fire Rated graffiti protection)

PLEASE NOTE - The auction houses have kindly waived their 25% sales commission, however VAT at 20% will be added to the hammer price of each lot
