SINGTO

Artist: Rojanatorn Na Songkhla

The stunning, bejewelled Singto was designed and decorated by celebrity Thai jeweller and member of the Thai Royal family, Rojanatorn Na Songkla, who flew over from Thailand to paint her lion sculpture.

Rojanatorn said: 'I have incorporated my sketches of the custom-made design pieces of jewellery and also the images of the finished pieces as a collage on the lion sculpture and painted in between the prints. The work has been hand painted and coated with varnish and clear sprays. Singto means 'lion' in Thai so seemed a very appropriate name for our lion!'

Rojanatorn has been working for over 30 years as a jewellery designer and mainly undertakes custom-made design works. She has also created jewellery and bag collections for fashion weeks in Bangkok and has had two private shows of her jewellery. Rojanatorrn designed the porcelain and bone china sets for Wisdom Thai Farmers Bank and designs for Norilake of Tokyo. She also created the crown for Miss Universe Thailand and has had numerous private commissions of her stunning work.
