Museum deaccessioned: A Charles II oak panel-back open armchair, Lancashire, circa 1670 The back panel
carved with a large lozenge and abutting lunettes, below a scroll arch-shaped and pierced cresting and integral leafy S-scroll carved top rail, downswept arms on ring columnar-turned legs, the seat mainly formed from one original large board, on columnar-turned front legs, joined all round by plain stretchers, height 105cm, width 62cm, depth 52.5cm Provenance: Label to underside reads: ‘Batley Art Gallery and Museums Dept. of Folk Life & Local History Accession Number 1964.272’, along with further handwritten accession numbers to underside of seat. - Stock Ref:10998-67
