A BLUE & GILT GERMAN PRESENTATION CAVALRY SWORD. A high quality Imperial German period sword with makers
mark for W K C. 35.3/4" damascus pattern steel pipeback blade, with over half the length covered in scrolls and inset words. Roughly translated From K Von Onirndorf to S Lt L Schnitzer 1894/95 Hessesche Lt Dragoon Regt 24. The back and reverse side of the blade decorated with Eisenhauer Damast-Stahl. Folding outer guard with a crowned Lion holding a Sword , with a silver/red bullion swordknot. A steel scabbard with twin hanging loops, composite shaped grip. See Illustration.
