In a live auction, you can partake in real-time bidding as the auction happens using the Bid Now button. Autobids can also be left prior to or during the sale.
The Autobid function works like this - If you are away from the computer for all or some of the sale, you can place an Autobid and the system will then bid up to your top amount on your behalf. It acts exactly the same as a live bid; increasing in increments and your bid amount remains undisclosed to the auctioneer. If you are at the computer whilst your autobid is running and you are outbid, you can jump in at any moment to start live bidding.
You have to subscribe to bid in any of the auctions listed on the site.
There is a charge for bidding in a live sale. You can either pay £3.95 to bid on unlimited lots in the sale OR you can opt to pay 3% on the hammer price - the choice is yours! Click here for further information
